Wellness Wednesdays: Catch Some Z’s!

It’s Wellness Wednesdays and for today’s tip, make sure you catch some z’s! On average, most adults need between 6 to 8 hours of sleep a night in order to lead a healthy lifestyle. Getting adequate sleep also ensures that the brain functions properly each day.

According to an article published on Science World Report, “scientists have found that the less that older adults sleep, the faster their brains age.” In addition, “those who slept fewer hours showed evidence of faster ventricle enlargement and decline,” which could eventually lead to dementia or Alzheimer’s.
