Healthcare Industry to Create 4 Million Jobs by 2026

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics data, the healthcare industry is projected to show significant growth. The new report shows that 4 million jobs will be created through 2026. That’s almost a third of the total job growth in the nation.

This influx of employment growth is credited to an aging population where people are living longer, are more prone to chronic diseases and have health insurance.

The healthcare industry has continually grown year after year. Healthcare practitioners and technical occupations account for one of the fastest-growing areas in the field, and this includes physician assistants and nurse practitioners.

A representative at Morgan Stanley said the “rising demand has sparked investment in companies that outsource staffing to providers.”
